Thegumboot.ca is a community-powered webspace managed by us – Robyn Budd and Deb Cowper – and based on software created by Stonebreaker Designs on Cortes Island. The heart of our website is a cyber-commons for individuals and non-profit community groups. Islanders create the content by sending stories, announcements, photographs and classifieds to thegumboot.ca. These are edited and uploaded daily (by us, the fearless editors), putting islanders in touch with the heartbeat of the community.
