We started Godfrey Brownell Vineyards in 1998. Fourteen of its sixty acres were plantred for wines in 1999 and twenty-five acres have been set aside with TLC support for conservation purposes and are run as a perpetual harvest woodlot

The first decade of success saw Lighthouse bring home a Gold medal with each of its four brand lines in the ever-growing Canadian Brewing Awards field. We are confident that Riptide Pale Ale (our newest beer) will shortly follow suit. Here on Vancouver Island, where rain, sun, wind and sea have such presence and diversity, we are able to make unique wines that are a reflection of particular conditions that exist nowhere else.
