As the days grow cold and the nights grow long, we are reminded that the holiday season is fast approaching. With Christmas just around the corner, the Magic Cottage has gathered a selection of wares from Island artisans perfect for holiday gift giving, or to enhance your home this holiday season. The Magic Cottage embraces the finer things in life from scrumptious treats, to heirloom gifts. You’ll find an incredible assortment of handcrafted wares, all at reasonable prices including sweets for your sweetie, tasty treats for your tummy and lots of delightful décor to deck the halls. A Gypsy Wolf design is back this year with all new creations including funky foiled fabric accessories, leatherwork and jewellery. Jamie’s spice rubs and scone mixes are always a favourite, and while you’re there you can sample the scones and enjoy some hot apple cider. They also feature a beautiful selection of stained glass work, trendy hand painted signs, Steampunk jewellery, festive decor, Victorianna and vintage collectables. You’ll find needlework, sock monkeys, lavender sachets, paper crafts, art cards, artwork, and wall hangings, as well as artisan crafted candies and chocolate, There’ll be Christmas gifts and trimmings galore! This year there will be a door prize draw with your donation to our local SPCA. The Magic Cottage will be open Saturday, Nov 16 (10-6), Sunday, Nov 17 (10-5) & Saturday, Nov 23 (10-6), Sunday, Nov 24 (10-5). The Magic Cottage is located at 3945-4th Avenue, between Morton and Maitland, Port Alberni, BC. Just look for the craft sale signs and be sure to come in and browse.
