I stop by almost each visit to Victoria. The art collection belonged to the Hotel's owner and upon his passing the collection was donated and displayed in the various buildings he owned. There are many notable native art pieces, including a copper traded for 80 slaves, Tony Hunt Sr. carvings and several original Norval Morrisseau Paintings grace the walls of the pub. If you enjoy native art ~ it's a must see.

This entire building is one big piece of art. The walls are covered with original pieces, the furniture is all one-of-a kind, everywhere you look is art, design, culture and beauty. And the beer's pretty damn good too. Check out the suites upstairs to enjoy the full experience this place has to offer. Literally hundreds of original pieces, much of it Canadiana, including the most evocative portrait of Pierre Trudeau I have ever seen.
